Overall Rating

The Tulsa Zoo is located in Mohawk Park in Tulsa, OK and was founded in 1927. The zoo is home to approx. 1,500 animals representing 436 species on 78 acres. The Zoo is an accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and participates in the AZA program called the Species Survival Plan. This Oklahoma Zoo recently opened a new section of the zoo called The Lost Kingdom. The new area of the zoo houses species from Asia.

Jaguar Jungle Building Tulsa Zoo
The Jaguar habitat is in the Jungle building and is the last habitat you see when leaving the Jungle building. This habitat mimics the Jaguars habitat in Central and South America in Mayan Ruins.

Komodo Dragon Lost Kingdom Tulsa Zoo
The Komodo Dragon and his habitat is part of the new Lost Kingdom area in the Tulsa Zoo. The Lost Kingdom exhibits species that inhabit Asia.
